ADVENTURE CLUB AFTER WORK CINEMA GRILL PARTY
- FREE ADMISSION After a long grueling week of work unwind with your club friends for a Movie and Dinner. With plush club-like seats and tables (tiered) you can watch resent hits in Surround Sound while enjoying great food from salads to gourmet sanwiches to pizza plus pitchers of wine and beer or softdrinks. ADMISSION IS FREE TO RESERVED CLUB MEMBERS.

ADVENTURE CLUB FREE VOLLEYBALL PICNIC Yes, FREE - Everybody Welcome - Members and Guests Sun
The weather wasn't with us last time and several dozen people were disappointed. Let's try it again. Sun and Fun only a short ride from anywhere. We'll meet at Blackburn Park on Ashford Dunwoody 2 miles inside 285 inside the park across from the Tennis Complex. We'll set up the best Portable Volleyball Set in Atlanta in the grass for some AMATEUR volleyball. DON"T worry if you don't play well. It's just for fun and mixing. We'll provide FREE keg and soft drinks. Just bring what you want to eat, blankets and chairs. Cost is FREE. Please reserve so we can notify you of a cancellation. Weather cancellation will be on the club phone at 404-845-3553 if necessary.

ADVENTURE CLUB HOLIDAY PARTY - On The River - New Deck Heaters for your winter's comfort.
- Now, a larger selection of favorite HOT FOODS plus FREE unique blender ice cream drinks at every party. All our latest parties are getting rave reviews. 150-200 attending. WE ARE THE EXPERTS when it come to this trip (only when St Pat's Day falls on a weekend is this possible) This is the 2nd largest St Pats Celebration in the country next to New York with nearly 500,000 attending. SINGLES NIGHT OUT
Rendezvouz is sponsoring a night for singles ages 35+ to meet. Various Singles clubs have been invited to participate through a mingling of their memberships. A FREE DRINK is yours by mentioning the Adventure Club between 5 and 7 PM. Various munchies will be provided and special non-techno music will be played that evening to make this age group feel at home. This is an EVERY WEDNESDAY kind of thing....Until further notice. Enjoy!

ADVENTURE CLUB FREE BOWLING PARTY
Join us for a FREE Adventure Club Bowling Party at the Cedar Creek Brunswick Lanes just off I-75 at Delk Road.. We have arranged for you to enjoy 2 Hours of free play including shoes, light refreshments and prizes. The limit is 100, so reserve early (this is going out to our 2,500 members and associates).

ADVENTURE CLUB DINNER BLENDER
Over 50 are signed up already... Limit 75... sign up now We had over 65 at our first dinner of the season. It was a big success and there were many suggestions for new restaurants to try and a repeat of the concept. To eliminate the "check confusion" we are planning all future events accordingly. This time we are trying something new - "Royal Gourmet" We will have our OWN ROOM to mix and mingle. It has a full bar and a set food price of $11.95 plus tax and tip. Although it is a buffet style restaurant (don't make a face!) it is very upscale, with nightly offerings of prime rib, lamb, crab legs, GREAT Chinese, Barbecue, and even Sushi. Since it's a buffet, you don't have to worry about being a little , or even a lot late. We can have a great time here. Looking forward to an even bigger group than before.

ADVENTURE CLUB MEMORIAL DAY BEACH BLAST Optional PARTY BUS THERE AND BACK
- Last year 232 attended. This year, so far, we will be joined by several chapters of the Parrot Heads. Come play with us at our 14th annual summer kick-off at the beach at amazing prime season prices starting at only $149 for 4 days 3 nights including parties, beachside hospitality food and beverage tent and more. Remember, OUR trip is PRIME season and NOT at off season room rates or weather. Limit 160.

ADVENTURE CLUB BILLIARDS PARTY .... Beginners welcome
We have arranged a great event in the plush brass and wood surroundings of this beautiful Billiards Club with Deck Bar and lots of mingling room. Join us for a 3 hour Billiards Party in our separate playing and mingling area (all bar drinks discounted with special tickets available there. Whether you are a pro or beginner it should be a great mixer to meet and mingle. This is NOT a competitive event so don't stay away because you are not a Minnesota Fats. You are welcome to join us just to watch if you like. Please reserve so we can plan for the number of tables needed. PS We had over 50 for the Bowling Party so I expect this to be even better. Take 285 to 75 north to Windy Hill exit, go north (Right for most people) to the corner of Windy Hill and Powers Ferry across from Fuddruckers. It's upstairs with the Green Awnings. ADVENTURE CLUB LAKE LANIER VOLLEYBALL, BEACH PICNIC
This has always been a popular event. Join us at a great location on the Lake with a nice beach, some super volleyball with our professional setup, and good food. (If you have a boat and are willing to share some rides with our group you are "no charge".) We'll provide our famous gourmet dogs and burgers (Believe me the dogs ARE the best). Cost is $7 for Members, $10 for guests. The Park Rangers watch closely for ILLEGAL alcohol so we can't provide it and you MUST be inconspicuous with it. NO CANS or BOTTLES, keep it in your cars, USE CUPS. (They WILL CHECK coolers if they are suspicious). The park is close to 400. We'll meet at Young Deer Park which is up 400 to exit 17, right to 369 to Gainesville, right at Shady Grove Road (sign for the park), to right at Heard Road (Park sign) to the end at the Park. Look for Adventure Club banner on our own Pavillion "Tent" (we bring our own Pavillion). PLEASE RESERVE for food count.

ADVENTURE CLUB SUNSET DINNER CRUISE PARTIES

This has turned out to be a lot of fun... The last cruise was a riot with a lot of enthusiastic people who made great friends. Of course, you must have heard of one of those "Dinners at 6 or 7 or whatever" concepts. Well, we like to do things a bit extreme, not just dinner, but a dinner cruise. Everyone is ready to party Friday night after work and the cruise/dinner/party is the best thing to come along in a long time. This unique Adventure Club Series is designed to allow fun intermingling of a small group of Members while watching the Sunset from our favorite cove, listening to great music and sipping your favorite wine or other beverage, followed with boating to a nice lakeside restaurant. Only 10 per cruise.. 5 men and 5 Women... First come, first served... new cruisers take precedence over return cruisers. Don't worry about the drive up, we depart from a MOST CONVENIENT point on the lake at Exit 14 and 400 (Lanier's first exit)and only 2 miles from 400 (exact Directions will be provided as part of the confirmation of your reservation). Bring your own alcoholic beverage, and/or a snack if you wish. We provide coolers, ice, cups, and sodas. Please, no coolers larger than 6-pack size. To cover maintenance and gas, the donation is $10 for Club Members and $15 for everyone else.

ADVENTURE CLUB WHITE WATER ADVENTURE WEEKEND
ONLY $69 (guests $79) for rafting, overnight bunkhouse party and great cookout dinner.
This is the Ocoee River where the Olympic Games were held. It's a lot of excitement for the money. When you consider a single bungee jump costs $20, this is nothing for 2 hours of non-stop action, dinner and sleeping accommodations. Novice whitewater adventurers need not worry. The 8 man rafts provide adequate "coziness" to rely on the expertise of the more experienced and you will have a great time on the trip. We will arrive Saturday at 1 PM and ride the river at 1:30 pm. Dinner will be Chicken BarBQ plus all the sides and desserts catered in. Keg. wine and refreshments will last into the night as we sit by our bonfire for a little club camaraderie. The bunkhouses are clean and neat (hot showers are provided, too) and are far enough from the activities to get a good night's sleep when you're ready.

ADVENTURE CLUB "FENDER" BLENDER PARTY
This is our most unique Blender Party - 115 people partying on TWO Double Decker Party Buses with great music, disco lighting, snacks, keg, wine, and a FREE FULL BAR with everything. Not just a "Pub Crawl", after all we provide the liquor, why spend more in bars as well? Anyway, you don't need us to party at bars, right? We'll provide an interesting and entertaining assortment of stops along the way including some bars, but not JUST bars. We'll start and end in Buckhead so you can party the night away with your new friends if you like. Our party buses will begin and end at the "Disco" Kroger parking lot across from Tower Place on Piedmont (the next to last stop will be in the middle of Buckhead if you care to depart there and walk back to your car). Reservation/Cancellation Deadline August 4th. Reserve early to secure your spot at this great event. COST: Members - $18 Non-Members - $25 Remember this is your TOTAL COST for the nights entertainment, WE provide the drinks and food. ADVENTURE CLUB SUNDAY VOLLEYBALL - FREE
Although there has been great response to these, the weather wasn't our friend for the last one. Now with the cooler weather let's try again. Join us at about 2 PM for volleyball fun. BYOB if you care to. We'll provide FREE sodas and water. This is just amateur volleyball so just come and join in to meet the members, get some sun and have fun, or just to watch (sun worshiper - bring blankets or chairs).

ADVENTURE CLUB OKTOBERFEST WEEKEND - HELEN

This has been a yearly tradition for 13 years - Everyone keeps coming back because we know how to do Oktoberfest in Helen. A full weekend with lodging, meals, kegs and all the fun of Oktoberfest for a great price. Relax and enjoy your weekend to the fullest. We will only be a short 10 minutes from all the action in town or.... just stay with us in Unicoi Park and enjoy the cozy brookside fire and your club friends.

"A wild son of a Baptist preacher. the moment he steps on stage you can't help but be caught up in his spontaneous energy and hysterical point of view." This should be a fun evening. ADVENTURE CLUB FREE BILLIARDS PARTY
Join us for a fun evening with 2-3 hours of FREE open doubles billiards (skill is not the point, it's just for fun and comraderie). You don't have to play to join us, either. We'll make it interesting with a little friendly competition (round robin), with the appropriate recognition given in our following newsletter. Come right after work for food and happy hour (food and drinks on your own) until we play. We had 45 last time and over 70 coming to the Bowling night so this will certainly be a big turnout. ADVENTURE CLUB HOCKEY NIGHT
Join us for an exciting evening of Professional Hockey. The Florida Panthers will be battling the Atlanta Thrashers. If you've never been this is your opportunity to try something new and meet other club members at the same time. We've been many times and it's really a lot of fun. Good Food, too. (Not the usual stadium fare) Cost is only $21. Use our Credit Card form on the web page or reserve with Email and send a check. If we get over 50 we'll have some extra special goodies to share.

ADVENTURE CLUB BLIND WINE TASTING PARTY - for non-wine drinkers, too Please Reserve
Don't miss this great event. It is always a hit. LIMIT 100 Lots of fun and a great way to spend an evening, meeting new people and learning a little about wines. Everyone brings a bottle of their favorite wine (white for gals, red for guys) After we disquise them, everyone samples and judges the best. The winners receive special prizes. Then all are revealed so we can see what our favorites were. We have a beautiful lakeside setting for this one. Open Bar provided for non-wine drinkers. If you don't drink wine you must still contribute a bottle. Cost: $10 plus bottle for members and $15 plus bottle for guests. Wines should be at least $10 to whatever you wish (be nice). Snacks, breads, cheeses, fruit, sweets provided. Please .. NO Liters and NO "single bottle" per couple, everyone must contribute their own bottle (including non-wine drinkers).

ADVENTURE CLUB SUMMER TENNIS LESSONS SERIES
Wed Nights in three 1-month series of 4 nights per month,
Do 1 month or all. Join us for this fun way to get into the "swing" of things with your fellow Club members. Non-Members are invited, too. There will be one tennis pro to each 4 students or 2 pros for up to 12 students. The cost is $45 per set of 4 lessons to be paid to the pro the first night. Location will be at The River Club (directions above).

ADVENTURE CLUB BEER FEST OUTING
Beer Lovers, Make a day of it by enjoying the Dunwoody Beer Fest with your friends. Taste 150 beers, all you want, at one low price of only $25. There will be food from many of the local restaurants (extra cost). Receive an engraved mug (to use for the tastings) and T-shirt with the admission price. After 8 who knows where we'll end up. To join up there, wear your ADVENTURE CLUB T-shirts and/or look for John and Karen in ours.

ADVENTURE CLUB DINNER NIGHT
Susumu, one of our long time members is helping us set up a series of great dinners for our members to enjoy fine dining experiences while making new friends. "Yakatori Jinbel" is a newly opened Japanese restaurant, it's not the usual, NO Sushi here. "Yakatori" means roasted chicken and they serve a delicious variety of chicken and vegetables skewered and grill roasted. To make it easy you have a choice of "regular" or "vegetarian" for this event at a special reduced price of $15 including Tax and tip. Don't miss this deal, just for us. It is located in the Olive Garden Shopping Center at 2421 Cobb Parkway phone 770-818-9595 . Ask for Susumu when you get there. Reservations NOT necessary this time. Open Bar for non-wine drinkers. Don't miss this great event. Hint Guys... these are always a hit with the ladies. LIMIT 50 Lots of fun and a great way to spend an evening, meeting new people and learning a little about wines from a Certified Sommelier to lead the tasting of 10 quality wines (red and white) from a great region, Australia. Australia is rapidly becoming recognized as a major force in the wine industry. We have rented a beautiful lakeside setting for this one. Open Bar provided for non-wine drinkers. VININGS PARTY - Now the Outrageous, Bodacious, Wet and Wild Roswell Pool Party BBQ
Fifth Annual Outrageous, Bodacious, Wet and Wild Pool Party BBQ (For Charity) is BACK!!
(new location - NOT Vinings this year) Peter Bowerman, Bob Hamilton, Karen and John Youstin of the Adventure Club have combined forces to host. 300-400 expected attendance. $20 ($15 Adventure Club Members) gets you all you can eat (burgers, dogs, veggie burgers, salads, watermelon, etc), drink (beer, wine, Frozen margaritas, Frozen Hurricanes, Full open bar, jello shooters) and party (DJ, pool, and the coolest crowd in Atlanta). Bring your bathing suit, party spirit, and friends. If you've been before, you KNOW you'll be back. If you haven't been, you KNOW you regretted it. It's for charity, as well, to benefit Logomedica, an orphanage in Romania. This is always a "party of the year" contender. Go or you'll surely die.

ADVENTURE CLUB "FREE" MOVIE PARTY -
This is a pleasant way to begin the weekend. Join us after work at the NEW Cinema Grill near Merchants Walk in Marietta. Meet at 6:30 - Movie at 7. They have great food, reasonable prices, the RIGHT PRICE for admission (FREE for members and Guests - save $5) and 5 selections of recent movies to choose from. Then we'll decide what else to do.

Winter Blender Party Series
Until our popular pool parties begin again next May, we have set up a new series of parties that should be a hit through the winter. We have arranged PRIME TIME special pricing for our Members to meet and mingle. Not just the usual weekday Happy Hour party, this goes all Saturday night. This party will be at the popular Rendezvouz Nightclub in Dunwoody with great atmosphere, billiards, dancing, and DJ. NO ADMISSION COST for Members or Guests before 9 PM, everyone welcome. We seem to have hit on something. It appears our members are looking for the more upscale dinners such as our last one. The feed back was very positive. Nearly sold out at 40, it was a great success. Adventure Club MAMA MIA THEATER EVENT
ABBA is taking the world by storm, again. In 1999, the über-successful 1970s musical group regained world attention when a Broadway musical revolving around 22 of the Swedish sensation's best-loved hits became an overnight critic and fan favorite. It's now in Atlanta, and you"d be remiss if you let this one slip by. The show is jam-packed with all your ABBA favorites, which perfectly flow into a musical that is poignant, upbeat and unflinchingly funny - and fun. "Mamma Mia!" takes place on a mythical Greek island, as family and friends come together for Sophie'swedding. Adventure Club CALLAWAY GARDENS BIKING/PICNIC
Callaway Gardens is a must for everyone, biking enthusiasts or not. Its 10 miles of winding, lakeside paved and groomed biking paths are a dream. Very few sloped biking trails so the ride is mostly effortless. Along the way you can visit all the attractions from the wonderful indoor walkthrough butterfly exhibit to the beautiful huge horticultural exhit, the birds of prey and more. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy along the way. We'll carpool for the 1 hour ride, meeting at 10 AM, and have plenty of time for everything (Park closes at 6). Adventure Club SWEET WATER CREEK STATE PARK HIKE
(4.2 miles, easy to moderate hike) Only minutes from downtown Atlanta, the trail starts with a Country Road like path (look for the deer running by), then down a hill, passing a small pond (last time we encountered a large turtle, thought it was a large rock at first...), then off to a small creek, and eventually to a free-flowing stream, and to a ruins of New Manchester Manufacturing Company, which burned during the Civil War. It's very scenic and easy hike. Bring plenty of water and lunch. We will meet at 1:00pm at the tennis courts behind the Marriott near I-75 and Windy Hill Road.(If you take the Windy Hill Exit off I-75 North then get in the far right lane of the exit and go on to Interstate North Parkway. Just for fun, a real club like, fun, laid back, event. Meet and make friends playing your favorite card games like Hearts, Spades, Bridge, whatever, or join in for the NO MONEY Holdem Tournament. Don't have to be an expert here, come and learn, it's free and there's no money involved. Just the prestiege of winning and a few fun door prizes for the winners. Adventure Club HELEN "COOL" TUBING

Join us for a leisurely float down a crystal clear, cool mountain stream through Helen Georgia. It's a great "heat beater" and so much fun. Tubes are provided and a bus takes everyone to the beginning. This is always a great day and you can't help but have a good time. Cost is only $5, that's right, only $5 for hours of fun and relaxation with your friends. PAY THERE There are changing rooms to get dry before visiting the Helen stores, pubs and restaurants afterwards. Bring a pair of shoes to wear in the water, sunscreen and a big smile. (ropes and bungees are convenient to tie tubes together, too) We'll carpool from the Marta Park n Ride at MANSELL (EXIT 8) at 11:30 AM (otherwise we won't be able to keep the group together once there). Pay there. John will where an Adventure Club shirt to help find the group. Latecomers will miss us. PLEASE RESERVE so we can tell them how many to plan for.
