Mardi Gras, New Orleans

It is New Orleans' premiere party season! It's time to enjoy life, party, and have a good time! It's irresistibly fun, vibrant, sarcastic, and sassy! If you understand how this city hums during the day and sings at night, you may be able to envision its celebration of Mardi Gras.
Perhaps it's the anticipation of the merriment, the excitement of catching throws, the extravaganza of the parades, getting dressed up in costume, or going to a Ball -- but a frame of mind takes over the Big Easy and says "forget your problems and have fun!" Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement ... and one big holiday in New Orleans!   Everyone is wearing purple, green, and gold; and adorned with long beads caught from the beautiful floats. They sit on the ground throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching the crowds walk by between parades.

No person is better qualified to recommend the very best of New Orleans and the Mardi Gras...parades, entertainers, restaurants, foods and more. Karen will make our trip so much more of an "insider's" experience of the true New Orleans.

We have researched the area and found the best deal in accommodations at a convenient location only 2 blocks from the French Quarter and right ON the PARADE ROUTE. Hotel has both restaurant and lounge and petite indoor heated pool. You will be right in the middle of the action but far enough away from the Quarter's noise and craziness for sleep when you need it.

Transportation to N.O. is on your own (carpools arranged).
