It is New Orleans' premiere party season! It's time to enjoy life, party, and have a good time! It's irresistibly fun, vibrant, sarcastic, and sassy! If you understand how this city hums during the day and sings at night, you may be able to envision its celebration of Mardi Gras.
Perhaps it's the anticipation of the merriment, the excitement of catching throws, the extravaganza of the parades, getting dressed up in costume, or going to a Ball -- but a frame of mind takes over the Big Easy and says "forget your problems and have fun!" Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement ... and one big holiday in New Orleans!   Everyone is wearing purple, green, and gold; and adorned with long beads caught from the beautiful floats. They sit on the ground throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching the crowds walk by between parades.

Karen will make our trip so much more of an "insider's" experience of the true New Orleans.

We have researched the area and found the best deal in accommodations at a conveniet but cost effective location only 15 minutes away across the river. The cost is less than half the going rates near French Quarter. There is a $5 shuttle to and from the FREE ferry that takes you directly to the middle of all the action.

Transportation is on your own.
(So many people have Frequent Flyer and it is too hard to arrange air for a group.
However, we will help organize carpools - easy 7 hour trip - we have traveled it dozens of times)
