CALLAWAY GARDENS BIKING
AZALEA SPRING FESTIVAL

Gently rolling hills and a winding path . . .

. . . carry bicyclists on a grand adventure through The Gardens at Callaway. The 10-mile Discovery Bicycle Trail that opened in 1989 combines sightseeing with an outdoor excursion that puts you up-close to Southern flora and wildlife.

The wide, paved path is perfect. The  bicycle route includes all of the Gardens' major attractions, so you can make a day of it while seeing all there is.

Bicycles and helmets may be  rented  here or you may bring your own. Either way, you'll have a grand adventure on our Discovery Bicycle Trail!

Spring Celebration

Spring is the most glorious time of the year at Callaway Gardens®, when the landscape transforms into an explosion of vibrant color.  The entire season is filled with natural beauty everywhere you look, and activities that delight all ages are found throughout the Gardens.  From banjo music to bluebirds, kite flying to rock climbing, our Spring Celebration Weekends are as diverse as they are dynamic.

For seven sensational weekends, Callaway Gardens celebrates spring in a big and colorful way - with 20,000 azaleas (bloomed early this year, we will be there at the tail end) and more!  Starting the weekend of March 18, you and your friends will be awestruck by the world's most spectacular collection of azaleas, as well as mountain laurel, dogwoods, daffodils and daisies.  This breathtaking setting provides the backdrop for exciting hands-on activities, fascinating educational experiences and invigorating guided hikes.

We've done this many times and it is a great biking adventure with many stops along the way to rest while visiting the attractions. Come along, have some fun, make some new friends.

We'll meet at 10 AM at a convenient place to carpool the 1 hour drive there.
Admission will be $13 plus tax, paid when you enter.
Bikes may be rented at rates shown in the "rented" link above (we suggest the 6 speed - lot easier).
